The Next Groningen Ukulele Society Meeting – 22 october

Tis nearly time to ‘Uke up yer Lives’ with the GUS.

Never played a uke? pop in and have a go! you might like it

Don’t be scared, we’re not musicians – we’re ukulele players and there’s room for (nearly) everyone

For the usual GUS crew – you know what we do – so come on down and play with your little instruments – sing out your lungs and moisten your tongues with a beer or two

The Next GUS meeting – 21 november – 7pm

It’s nearly time to warm your hearts and mind with that wonderful little bundle of joy – the ukulele.

Bring your little beauties along to o’ceallaighs Irish pub, Groningen, next tuesday and spread a bit of joy together. Share a bit of warmth and love (and maybe have a beer).

It’s all about the uke here in Groningen and you can be part of it too!!! Just pop in and join in with the fun – no bookings needed – no costs – no pressure – for absolute beginners and uke divas – it’s all the same to us.

Don’t waste your money on ‘lessons’. There’s only one way to learn uke – pop in to a uke club and play along – burst in to song – you can’t go wrong.

The Next Groningen Ukulele Society meeting – 10 oct.

Only a few days to go, then it’s Uke Day in Groningen, ooh what fun sittting in our favorite irish pub plucking and strumming away on our lovely little instruments.

With our very special party atmosphere and our irish beer – how could you not want to come on down for some ukulele cheer.

Everyone is welcome to pop in and join the fun – if you’re a uke player or you’ve just begun.

Just in case you’ve forgotten – We meet in o’ceallaighs Irish Pub on tuesday the 10th of october.

The party begins at 7pm and goes on till half past 9

The Next GUS Meeting – 1 august 2023 is cancelled!!! The next meeting is on the 15th.

The meeting on the 1st of august is cancelled folks, the next meeting will be on the 15th of august in o’ceallaighs, Groningen.

So, polish your ukes, stretch those fingers and practice those chords because in a couple of weeks it is time to come on down Groningen Town and give your uke’s a good workout with the GUS.

Don’t be shy – pop down and try. Our meetings are for ukulele beginners and ukulele sinners. All are welcome in the GUS

So – drop in and have a playalong with us – you know you wanna

We are at o’ceallaighs Irish pub, groningen and will be starting at 7 o’clock as usual.

There are extra ukuleles and songbooks for the ‘drop in and have a go folk’ – but be careful – it’s addictive !!

The Next GUS Meeting – 23 may 2023

Time to grab them Ukes and pop down to Groningen for that there Groningen Ukulele Society meeting.

We’ll be meeting in o’ceallaighs Irish pub at 7 o’clock (pm) on the 23rd of may.

Tis also 11 years ago (give or take a few days) that the GUS had our very first meeting – in the Viva La Vida, Grunn.

So pop on down, play some songs with us, eat some cake.

We will be having a slightly longer meeting in case people would like to celebrate by jumping up and playing a tune for us – alone or with their friend(s) – later in the evening.

The Next GUS meeting – coz you know you wanna

Hey Folks, time to pop in out of the cold and fill your hearts with that warm ukulele feeling.

Don’t know where to go?? That’s easy!!!!

Pop on down to o’ceallaighs Irish Pub here in Groningen on the 14th of march and join in with the fun.

We’ll be starting at 7 o’clock in our favorite bar – o’cealaighs irish pub of course – and playing through till half past nine.

So come along and spend some time, smashin our ukes n maybe drinkin a wine (or Guiness)

Hey Ho, Let’s Go…

Time to pop in to the GUS and warm your hearts and souls with a bit o’ ukulele.

You don’t have to book to join our playalong evening, whether you’re new to the uke or been stummin a while – a GUS playalong session will make you smile.

Brush up your skills or find your new talent, meet some new friends and have beer and a strum.

Everybody welcome – young and old (and everyone in between)

The session is in dutch and english – good songs and bad songs – you can play n sing or sit in a corner and strum – either way is fun.

There will be a couple of extra ukes and songbooks for the ‘ wanna try’s’
